Bustani ya Tushikamane (ByT) is a sustainable agriculture project in Morgoro, Tanzania.
The project purpose is to build up a strong and creative innovation platform on sustainable agriculture, to provide guidance for farmers, to enable and foster participatory research and to create awareness at the national level, through knowledge dissemination, application and research by establishing a vibrant network between farmers, universities, consumers, governmental and non-governmental organizations for covering the whole agriculture value chain.
Hereby ByT focuses on:
- Dissemination of information about sustainable agriculture
- Participatory research and demonstration of sustainable agriculture technologies
- To support farmers by the application of sustainable agriculture
- To provide a base for sharing of knowledge and experience about sustainable innovations
